Pearls care

Pearls, as any jewels must be correctly maintained. There are simple rules to respect in order to preserve their beauty and their glare.

Avoid the contact of pearls with all cosmetics. This includes in particular perfumes but also oils and lacquers for the body.

The pearls should not be soiled and it is advisable to try to avoid carrying pearls during the beauty care for example. Generally, we advise you to regularly wipe your pearls with a soft and slightly wet rag.

It is important to separate the pearl's jewels from other ones in your jewellery box because the pearl's surface is fragile and would likely be striped by the other jewels and in particular by precious stones.

If you carry your pearls regularly and that they have value, think, after a few years, to change the silk wire on which they are assembled. Our necklaces are assembled on a very solid wire but which ends up wear out.
